Medair’s Success at SNNMI: Showcasing Expertise in Radiopharma Logistics
JUNE 28, 2024
At the 2024 Society of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging Conference, Medair showcased our capabilities and connected with key decision-makers.
Our primary goals at the SNNMI conference were to elevate Medair’s presence in the radiopharma logistics sector and showcase our specialized services. This included our expertise in shipping isotopes and radioactive materials that require precise Type A packaging solutions. We aimed to network with scientists, doctors, and logistics coordinators to understand their current needs and the challenges they face in the industry.
The conference attracted a diverse audience primarily composed of scientists and doctors attending educational lectures, heavily focusing on academia. Additionally, we spoke with molecular imaging companies and isotope manufacturers, covering both diagnostic and therapeutic aspects. This provided us with an opportunity to display Medair’s expertise in this specialized field.
Showcasing Our Capabilities
Throughout the conference, there were many opportunities to highlight Medair’s strengths in radiopharma logistics and what sets us apart from other logistics companies. Our emphasis on exceptional customer service, efficient customs clearance processes, and handling time-sensitive shipments resonated well with attendees. Our conversations focused on identifying and addressing the root causes of their current logistics problems, such as improperly packaged vials and meeting hard deadlines with time-sensitive shipments. Our team’s flexibility and dedication were key points of discussion.
Catering to Unique Needs
We also discussed the logistics of domestic drives versus international shipments. Given that isotopes typically have a half-life of 4-5 hours, most shipments would be domestic. However, we emphasized Medair’s capability to handle both domestic and international needs, showcasing our flexibility and comprehensive service offerings.
Focus on Dangerous Goods Transport
A significant aspect of our expertise lies in the transportation of dangerous goods. We highlighted Medair’s capabilities in handling hazardous materials, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations, and providing specialized packaging solutions. This focus on DG transport underlines our commitment to safety and precision in the radiopharma logistics sector.
Future Attendance and Focus Areas
Reflecting on our participation, we recognize the benefits of attending SNNMI and engaging with the radiopharma community. Moving forward, we believe there might be more success and greater opportunities in focusing on DG-required pharma shipments, such as radioactive materials and other hazardous substances.
In conclusion, our presence at the 2024 SNNMI conference was a success. We look forward to leveraging these experiences to further strengthen Medair’s position in the bio-pharma logistics industry.
