SR. LOGISTICS SPECIALIST (cold chain)

Medair Time Critical Express UK

Medair is a dedicated life science specialist courier. We deliver time and temperature-sensitive material worldwide. Medair currently has offices in Toronto, Montreal, New York, and the UK. We believe that in order to provide our customers with the absolute best experience, we need to attract the very best employees who enjoy working at Medair.

We have a full-time position available for a dynamic person within our operations team at our UK office in London. This position requires full-time physical presence at the office.

In this position you will be responsible for ensuring all shipping requirements and functions are completed accurately and in a timely fashion. Also providing clear and concise communication with customers and colleagues. The successful candidate will learn quickly, self-motivate, and be eager to succeed.


Main Responsibilities include:

  • Receive orders from customers & guide them with expertise
  • Enter orders in our system & create air freight bookings with airlines
  • Arrange shipments with Medair offices & suppliers world-wide
  • Obtain or help prepare specific shipping documentation such as CITES, FDA, USDA, APHA UK, etc.
  • Prepare validated temperature-controlled packaging units
  • Keep customers & internal software updated with progress until shipment completion
  • General office & warehouse duties, as required
  • Must be available for evening and weekend duty phone roster
  • Some overtime work may be required (Any overtime will be compensated in accordance with UK employment laws)


Attention to detail qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of office work experience
  • Proficiency with MS Office, Windows OS, email and Internet usage/research
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Courteous phone manner
  • Effective time management and task management skills
  • Knowledge of geography
  • Ability to work efficiently while managing multiple projects/tasks/systems simultaneously
  • Flexibility with shift/schedule
  • Right to work in the UK
